    Your choices for lunch are An Asian Bowl or Egg Rolls. Have your ID & selection ready. Any students without an ID will need to wait until the last 10 minutes.

    The CCC will be hosting Lunch & Learn featuring the career of Child Life Specialist on Thursday, February 23 during 1st lunch. A Child Life Specialist is a pediatric health care professional who works with children and families in hospitals and other settings to help them cope with the challenges of hospitalization, illness, and disability. Ms. Lauren Berger, a Child Life Specialist at Wesley Medical Center, will be sharing her education and expertise. If you are interested learning more about this career stop by the CCC in A-24 to register. 

    Any boys interested in trying out for this year’s NW Boys golf team need to attend an informational meeting today immediately after school in the library. This will be a short fifteen minute meeting necessary for you to have the needed information to be prepared for upcoming tryouts.

    Prom committee will have a meeting in the back of the library tomorrow at 7:30.  We hope to see you there!

    Sophomores and Juniors are you interested in taking classes at WATC during the school day next year?  If so please attend the WATC block program meeting on March 2nd during advocacy in the library.  Learn the programs that are offered @ WATC with free tuition and some bussing provided as well as textbook rental information.  Come to the guidance department for a pass to attend the meeting.

    Attention Juniors and Seniors, the University of Nebraska representative will be @ NW during advocacy in the Commons on February 23rd.   See Mrs. Cramer in the CCC (A24) for a pass.

    Davis Moore is hosting a Technical Career Fair on Saturday, March 11th from 11:00-3:00.  This is a great way to meet with representatives for 6 colleges that offer certificates/degrees in Automotive Technology.  There will be live demonstrations and giveaways. Find out more about career options in the automotive technology field.  Please RSVP by March 3 to reserve your spot.  See Mrs. Cramer in the CCC for the phone number or email for your reservation.

    Congratulations to the bowling team on an outstanding day at the City Tournament on Saturday.  The girls took first place and won the city league title.  Medalists were Abby Kennedy, Alyssa Smalley, Shayla Lee and Alexis Breault.  The boys took 2nd place and the medalists were Gabe Alvarez, Brandon Kraus and Zach Hall.  Gabe Alvarez won first place in the city with his 720 series.  Congratulations Bowlers.  They will be bowling in a very difficult regional on Thursday.  Please wish them good luck in their quest to get to the state tournament next week.

    Attention Girls’ Soccer Players: We will not have conditioning this week.  Our soccer season begins on Monday, February 27.  You must have a physical examination to participate.  Practice will begin at 4:00.  Please meet on the soccer fields. Be a Winner and play Northwest Soccer!

    Friday, February 24th, during Advocacy, teachers for Global Environmental Science will be hosting Craig Wolfe, a member of Al Gore’s Climate Reality Project and the Kansas Sierra Club, to present on Climate Change.  This presentation is mandatory for all Global Environmental Science students but is open to anyone to attend.  If you are interested in attending, please see Ms. McIntire in room C35, or Ms. Abuzeineh in room D10 to sign your agenda to pass during Advocacy.
