Mead Middle School
Daily Street Closing Notice
3:30 - 3:50 PM
Each weekday afternoon, from 3:30 PM – 3:50 PM, Skinner Street in front of Mead Middle School, and a portion of Green Street will be closed to traffic. This closing is by approval of the Wichita Police Department and assists with the safe dismissal of our students. Vehicles parking in the zone indicated on the map below may not move until the street is re-opened to traffic by school staff at 3:50.
Student safety is a top priority, and we sincerely appreciate your understanding.
Sports This Year?
7th and 8th graders may participate in middle school athletics. A current physical examination is required prior to participation. Physicals may be submitted to Mr. Millis at Mead. The link below will take you to the required form:

NOTE: Cross Country begins almost immediately at the start of school. Practice starts the first week! Because of this, it is important to complete physicals as soon as possible. Join the Mead Cross Country team to become involved in a school activity early on, and for outstanding conditioning for other sports.

Students from Wichita's National Academic League celebrated the end of the season with their annual all-star game, followed by the league championship game between Robinson and Allison.
At the end of the meeting, the BOE recessed into a second executive session to interview internal candidates who meet the criteria outlined in the Superintendent Profile.
