Activities

  • McLean Latchkey is a safe place for students to go before and after school! In the mornings we have a quiet activity time and then we play a group game to promote social skills among students. Students then have the option to go to breakfast (paid through the office by parents) or remain in latchkey until the first bell. In the afternoons, latchkey provides a nutritional snack. We follow snack with reading and homework time where students are able to get help from the latchkey workers and complete homework and reading logs before going home. After reading time we have free play time or play a group activity. We strive for our latchkey students to learn social skills and responsibility all while having a FUN time!
