Bill Faflick, Assistant Superintendent of High Schools, has been named Executive Director-Elect for the Kansas High School Activities Association effective July 1.
This year, the Wichita Public Schools will recognize 505 employees for their long-time dedication to our district. One of those employees is completing her 40th year of service.
Jennifer Venn, behavior interventionist at Gardiner Elementary, is the recipient of the 2017 Excellence in Public Service Award.

Kansas Kids Fitness Day is Friday May 5th. If you are a student in good standing and enjoy working with elementary students please see Ms. Zenner or Mrs. Copeland to get a permission form. We need 40-60 Students to help with this day. You will assist 3rd grade students from across the district in playing games out on the Northwest fields. It is a school related absence and you can get up to 3 hours of community service. Permission form are due by Wednesday May 3rd.
The 4th Annual Grizzly Classic Motorcycle and Car Show is this Saturday, April 29th in the 13th Street parking lot of Northwest from noon until 4pm. There will be awesome cars, motorcycles, food, music and a silent auction! Come join in the fun at the car show and then stay for Bearlesque!
Anyone interested in playing Football next season needs to be at the Meeting Monday, May 1st, in the Auditorium after first bell during Advocacy!

Our Northwest Soccer Tournament continues today. Our JV soccer team plays today at 2:05 and our C Team plays on Saturday at 11:10. Admission is free to Northwest Students with hour school ID.

Come see a preview of the Northwest Choir's Bearlesque on Friday during advocacy. Admission is 1 dollar and you must show your advocacy teacher. Seniors can bring their dollar to the door.
Bearlesque 2017 has arrived. Come see your classmates perform award winning songs at the Bearlesque Grizzly music Awards. The show is Thursday the 27th and Friday the 28th at 7 o'clock. Saturday is a matinee show starting at 4. Tickets can be bought at the door for 8 dollars. Students get a discount for 2 dollars off. We hope you enjoy the show.
