    Art Contests

    Dear Parents,

There are two very exciting art competitions that College Hill has been invited to participate in.

K-2 will be designing T shirts for the Tot Trot, a local event that occurs during Riverfest. Students will be submitting a design based on their own interpretation of the theme “Fast Lane.”

3-5 will be designing a doodle for Google’s website, around the theme “What inspires me.” This is a National contest, with some really amazing prize potential.

All students will be given the opportunity to create their designs in class but students wishing to have their work submitted for consideration must have their entry forms signed by a parent or guardian and returned to Ms. Carney. The deadline for both contests is March 2nd 2018, so works must be returned no later than Feb. 27th.

Please feel free to email Ms. Carney at with any questions! Thank you!

    Summer Latchkey Policy Update

There is a new policy taking effect this summer. All latchkey programs are 100% self-funded. To ensure financial stability, our full day, five days a week families will get priority. We will put part time families on a wait list. Here is what the priority list will look like

    1. Full day (6+ hours) five days a week
    2. Partial day (4-6 hours) five days a week
    3. Full day (6+ hours) four days a week
    4. Partial day (4-6 hours) four days a week
    5. Full day (6+ hours) three days a week
    6. Partial day (4-6 hours) three days a week

For those of you who are new to us this year, we offer a fun summer program, with weekly themes and activities. We walk to College Hill pool twice a week and enjoy a couple of hours of swimming. We have a few staff members who stay back for those who don’t want to swim. We will take a few field trips that incorporate the theme of the week. I am currently working on the calendar for this summer. We try to mix it up and come up with some new ones. Let a staff member know if you plan on having your child attend and if it will be full time so we can put you on the list.
