  • Today is Wednesday, September 20, 2017!

    Your choice for lunch is Build a Tex-Mex Rice Bowl. Have your ID & selection ready. Any students without an ID will need to wait until the last 10 minutes.

    Anyone interested in joining the scholars bowl team should come to the informational meeting after school on Thursday in B2.  See Coach Huckriede or Coach Latta for details.

    Attention Juniors and Seniors, the University of Kansas College representative will be @ NW during advocacy in the Commons on September 21st.   See Mrs. Cramer in the CCC (A24) for a pass.

    Northwest will be having a book fair next Monday and Wednesday during conferences. There will be a truck set up outside the Tyler entrance that you can walk in and purchase a book. Ask your English teacher for more information.

    The first drama club meeting of the year will be held today after school in G3. Come for snacks, games, and information about upcoming theatrical events.

    Are you interested in helping plan the 40th anniversary celebration of Northwest High?  The Young Historians club meeting is tomorrow after school in Mr. Kitchen’s room (C8).

    Attention students:  Sedgwick County voting officials will be at Northwest today to register new voters.  Officials will be located in front of pupil services during both lunches.  Students can register if they are 18 or are 17 and will be 18 by the next general election on November 7, 2018. 

    Students, you must bring a copy of a proof of citizenship document.  Please ask your history teacher for a list of acceptable Proof of Citizenship documents or speak with Mr. Henning.

    The deadline for the ACT is this Friday.  To avoid paying extra, you must get registered right away.  Please see Ms. Cramer if you need assistance. 

    Help the Football Team raise money by going to Chipotle on Maize Road tonight from 5-9pm. Mention Northwest Football and the team receives a percentage of your receipt. 

    Juniors!  There will be a homecoming float meeting in Mrs. Harrell’s classroom, C17, during 9th hour on Thursday.  See Mrs. Harrell or Mrs. Pringle for a pass. 

    Congratulations to the volleyball teams.  The varsity came back from a 7-17 deficit to beat East High in two games.  They also beat North in two games.  A sweep for the varsity.  The junior varsity had no problems with both East and North for a sweep.  The freshmen beat North and had a tough loss against East.  Great Job Volleyball Players.  All three teams play this weekend in tournaments.  

    Northwest soccer will host West High on Thursday.  JV kicks off at 5:15 followed by the Varsity at 7:00.  Your attendance is greatly appreciated!

    Reminder that this Friday’s football game with West High is an away game for Northwest. We will be sitting on the visitors side and activity tickets are not good for this game.
