    Congratulations to Maria Hernandez and Lauryn Ward for earning a silver at the FCCLA State competition!  They competed against 3 other schools in the Interior Design contest.  Their score also qualifies them to compete at nationals June 30-July 5.  National competition will be held in Anaheim, CA!!  Way to go Maria and Lauryn!!

    Ngoc Vuong, South High graduate and current researcher at Wichita State, will be in the CCC during Titan Time on Thursday to discuss a new community initiative to improve mental health. For those interested in research, photography, art, community activism, and would like to be a part of a citywide effort to address mental health and substance use issues, please stop by the CCC to get your agenda signed.

    Juniors, you can also apply to be a Teen Hero.  Paper applications are available in the CCC or apply online at  If you have any questions, please see Ms. Bell.

    Maria Hernandez and Lauryn Ward received a Silver for their interior design competition.  Because of their score they also qualify to attend nationals in Anaheim, CA.  CONGRATULATIONS!!

    This is just a reminder that Poetry Club meets today during lunch. Everyone is welcome, even if you’ve never attended before. See you in S32!

    Titanantics Ticket Crew will meet during Titan Time on Thursday.  Drop by the choir room and get your pass signed.  Contact your crew chief if you are unable to attend.

    Are you ready for a night in Paris? Prom will be your passport to this romantic city on April 13th at 8pm. It will be held at WSU in the Rhatigan Center. Tickets will be sold this week, in the office by the bookkeeper between class periods and before and after school for $25. You can also get an approval form for an outside guest in the office. Make sure to get these forms soon because they have to be approved before you can buy the ticket. To attend prom you cannot have 2 or more F’s on the April 5th academic first list. If you have any questions you ask Ms. Harvey in C-8 or Mrs. Turner in C-12.

    Students if you are in need or wish to take summer school classes, please contact your counselor for enrollment information. Enrollment opens on April 15th, 2019 and the last date to enroll will be May 28th.  Summer school will be held at North High School.  Each class costs $90. Remember, the early bird gets the worm, and spots will fill up quickly. See your counselor and/or Mr. Surender for more information. 

    Attention seniors who are 18, or will be 18 soon and are NEEDING a job.  Express Employment Professionals is a staffing agency that connects job applicants to vacant jobs.  They work with 85 different companies in the Wichita area connecting those who need a job with either part-time or full-time employment.  You can fill out an application using their app, and even connect with openings via text message.  If you’d like to learn more about this opportunity, you can pick up information from your Counselor’s office.
