Congratulations to the boys Junior Varsity soccer team for their 3-0 win over Hutchinson yesterday. Also, congratulations to the Varsity team as they overcame another two goal deficit to beat Hutchinson 3-2. The Titans fell behind early in the game giving up two goals in the first half. After a few half time adjustments, the Titans didn't take long to get on the scoreboard. Eric Macias cut the deficit in half on a brilliant strike from 35 yards from goal. Shortly after Juan Umana was able to draw the teams level when he was able to corral a pass to Eric Macias with a delicate touch and hammered a shot past the Hutch keeper. The Titans continued to press Hutch for most of the second half. As time continued to tick away, overtime seemed to be lurking in the shadows until Alberto Alferez put the Titans ahead with a remarkable individual effort. Alferez hammered a shot from 28 yard into the upper 90 past the out stretched fingers of the Hutch goalie securing the 3-2 come from behind victory. Follow the Titans soccer team as they take on West today at West. Kick-off is 4.30. We hope to see you there.
