Hello!  My name is Amanda Wilson.  I am the new librarian here at OK Elementary for the upcoming 2022-2023 school year.  A little bit about myself. I am married with four children.  We live on a small farm outside of Wichita with all the typical farm animals; cows, horses, goats, sheep, chickens and a pig.  I graduated from Friends University in 1999.  This will be my 22nd year working as an educator in    USD 259.  Most of my years teaching were spent in Kindergarten and Second Grade.  I discovered my love of reading later in life when my English teacher helped me find the "right book".  From that point on, I have been an avid reader.  If your child has not found their passion for reading, my hope is to help them find the "right book" and if your child already enjoys reading, I hope to help them find and explore new books and genres.
