    Raider Team (Season Aug thru Oct)

    Raider competitions are designed for a small group of 9 cadets (8 cadets compete in each event, one alternate for each event).  of physically fit and mentally tough cadets to compete in various outdoor activities preferably in a very primitive-type location with solid amenities to ensure safety of the participants.  The teams compete in City League competions as well as regiaonal meetspromote teamwork discipline and leadership

    Drill Team (Season Aug thru Nov)

    Drill Teams consist of an Armed Drill , Unarmed Drill and Color Guard. The teams compete in City League competions as well as regiaonal meetspromote teamwork discipline and leadership

    Orienteering Team (Season Apr thru May)

    Orienteering is the sport of navigation, using a highly detailed map. Whether you’re an experienced hiker, competitive runner, or just a family or group out for an activity in a park, this sport helps you improve your navigation each time.

     JLAB Joint leadership & Academic Bowl

    The JROTC Leadership & Academic Bowl (JLAB) is a nationally recognized academic competition created exclusively for JROTC students. By participating, cadets learn the values of citizenship, leadership, academic competition, and college opportunity.

    Cyberpatriot

    CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Education Program.  At the center of CyberPatriot is the National Youth Cyber Defense Competition. The competition puts teams of high school and middle school students in the position of newly hired IT professionals tasked with managing the network of a small company. In the rounds of competition, teams are given a set of virtual images that represent operating systems and are tasked with finding cybersecurity vulnerabilities within the images and hardening the system while maintaining critical services in a six hour period.  Teams compete for the top placement within their state and region, and the top teams in the nation earn all-expenses paid trips to Baltimore, MD for the National Finals Competition where they can earn national recognition and scholarship money.

    Archery Team (Season Jan thru Apr)

    Cadets will compete locally and in state tournaments. Cadet will compete following the National Archery in the Schools format (NASP). Teams are 12 cadets and may have two teams.

    Unmaned Aircraft Systems

    A UAS or Unmanned Aircraft System is an unmanned aerial vehicle, a ground-based controller, and a system of communications between the two.  Some examples of UAS are multi-copters and r/c aircraft. We have a drone and a RC airplane at Heights

    Kitty Hawk Air Society

    KHAS is the academic honor society of AFJROTC that promotes high academic standards, school and community service, self-confidence, and initiative along with leadership abilities,academic excellence and furthers members’ knowledge in aerospace.
