Our team of creative and strategic communicators supports the Wichita Public Schools through:
Delivery of accurate, relevant, useful information to district stakeholders is a priority for the district’s News and Media Relations team. This veteran team champions public education through owned media channels (WPS-TV, web site, Facebook, Twitter and Instagram), while also maintaining strong relationships with local media outlets.
Creative strategy and targeted marketing are the focus of our work to ensure families have the information they need to make informed choices about the tremendous academic opportunities available through the Wichita Public Schools. Our team supports principals and district leaders with strategic planning, branding and marketing of their schools and services to target audiences.
Educational excellence begins with the more than 7,000 individuals who proudly work on behalf of Wichita’s students. Our team focuses on innovative and creative communication strategies to engage, inform and build pride in the WPS employee community.
The involvement of our community in WPS classrooms is essential to maximize opportunities for the success of our students. Our team is focused on developing and sustaining impactful stakeholder engagement opportunities that allow our community to see first-hand the life-changing education that occurs in classrooms every day. Additionally, our team collaborates with school leaders to inform and engage parents as active partners in their child’s education.
Transparent communication is critical at all times, but especially in emergency situations. Our team leads crisis communication response and is focused on providing accurate, inclusive, responsive crisis messaging when emergencies arise.
