The Elementary and Secondary School Emergency Relief Fund, or ESSER Fund, is federal funding that will be used to help schools address the impact of COVID-19.  ESSER investments will be made under the guidance and review of the Kansas State Department of Education, which has authorized specific uses for the ESSER funds. 

WPS will make investments based on survey feedback from staff, parents, students and community members. Priorities include mental health support for staff and students, along with initiatives and resources to address learning loss during the pandemic.

Additional information will be added to this site as the COVID Relief Funds are secured in order to be transparent and accountable with our investments of federal dollars.
