  • New Wi-Fi Coming to East for Personal Devices

    Wi-Fi Image Students: soon your personal devices will no longer be permitted to join WPSWIFI. This should ultimately resolve the issue where an old password on a device locks out your account when your password changes. To connect your personal device, you will instead use the WPS_Personal SSID or Wi-Fi network. See instructions >> You may connect as many as 5 personal devices to the network.

  • Class of 2018 Graduation Video

    DPG The Class of 2018 graduation ceremony DVD is now available for purchase through the Douglas Production Group. The cost is $9.95 if you order before May 5th, otherwise the cost is $19.95. Visit for more information. 


    Graduation will also be live streamed online as well.  The streaming is FREE.  If you have family who cannot attend the ceremony, they can watch live at on the day of graduation.

  • ACES in the Community 2018

    On April 12th, we celebrated 10 years of Aces giving back to the Wichita community through our ACES in the Community Day held each April. The anniversary was celebrated afterwards on the front lawn with food trucks, college booths, music and games. A big thank you to all our community partners who helped make this event possible!

  • Last Week of School and Finals

    • Monday, May 14 will be a regular ACE day, and students will take a third hour final during a combined third hour/ACE Time.
    • East will have half days for Tuesday, May 15 and Wednesday, May 16. Students will take finals in the morning on both days.
    • School will dismiss at 12:30 p.m. on the 15th and 16th.
    • Lunch will be provided.
    • Transportation will be provided to students at the end of the school day for students who ride the bus.

  • Summer School Information

    WPS Logo Summer School classes will be offered May 29 to June 14 at East High and Wichita Virtual School this year. The cost is $90 per course for USD 259 students and $150 for all other students.

    To enroll, students must see a counselor for course selection and completion of enrollment form before paying fees with the bookkeeper. Classes will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis. Enrollment opens April 9, 2018. The last day to enroll for High School Summer courses is Wednesday, May 23, 2018, by close of business. After May 18, you must enroll at East or Chester I. Lewis Virtual School.

  • Two East High Teachers Win Distinguished Classroom Teacher Awards

    A big congratulations to our very own ceramics teacher, Brenda Lichman, for receiving the Wichita Public Schools First Year Secondary Distinguished Classroom Teacher Award. She will also be the District Representative and compete for the State Horizon Award given to a first year teacher. District Leadership, BOE members and her family joined us to surprise Brenda during her 1st hour class.
