I have been a Kindergarten teacher here at Kensler since 2019 and I absolutely love it!  I was born and raised in Wichita, Kansas.  I attended high school at Northwest and decided that I loved Wichita so much that I would go to college at Friends university to play tennis.  After receiving my Psychology degree,  I then decided that I wanted to become a teacher and earned my teaching certificate at Newman University.  Kindergarten is such a wonderful grade and is so dear to my heart.  I am so thankful that I get to be your child’s first introduction to school!  Kensler is truly a special place to be.

I graduated from Wichita State University with a degree in Elementary Education Early Childhood in May 1997, completed a Master’s Degree in Curriculum and Instruction as well as a Reading Specialist Endorsement in May 2004, and received an English Speakers to Other Languages Endorsement in September 2009.  I have worked in the Wichita Public Schools since August 2000 previously teaching First Grade in another district from  1997-2000.  I joined the Kensler Family in August of 2018 and love working with the Kindergarten students!

I have been teaching for 18 years, 10 of those in kindergarten!  I love KINDERGARTEN! I was born and raised in Topeka and got my degree from Washburn University.  My husband’s job brought us to the Wichita area and I started teaching kindergarten for USD 259 in 2013.  I came to Kensler in the fall of 2021 and feel so lucky and blessed to be a part of this amazing school.  Kensler has the best staff, students and families!  In enjoy spending my free time with my family, working with and playing with my dogs and reading.
