Workgroup Overview

  • Purpose

    The Data Based Problem Solving Workgroup is composed of a diverse group of leaders from various levels and departments that organize, problem-solve, communicate, and collaborate. The purpose of this workgroup is to identify recommendations that align strategies and resources to support the implementation of the MTSS Framework around assessment and a common data based problem solving process.MTSS Logo

    2017-2018 Targets

    • Revise DBPS Protocol
    • Analyze FastBridge implementation with MTSS processes
    • Identify/evaluate Synergy needs:
      • Teacher gradebook at Elem & Sec
      • Administration staff management at Elem & Sec
    • Research specifics to improve graduation rates
    • Investigate relevant instruction using technology

    Past projects include:

    • Designed a training draft for use of KansaStar system (15-16)
    • Reviewed the Individual Student Problem Solving process to replace GEST process (15-16)
    • Designed the original Comprehensive Assessment System (now Assessment Protocol)
    • Created Problem-Solving processes and procedures
    • Designed DBPS part of the Implementation Protocol
