Mrs. Atherly believes that any movement is good movement! During Physical Education class the students will be introduced to new activities and sports. Students' confidence and mental and physical health will improve by participating in the best class at Coleman! While not hanging out with her family and dogs, Mrs. Atherly loves watching many different sports on TV, especially football, golf, and baseball. She also enjoys playing pickleball, golf, walking, and riding on her new scooter.

Mr. Nevarez likes making connections with kids and seeing them participate in physical activities. He does his best to make PE fun and inclusive for everyone! Not very many people know this but he considers himself a huge nerd. He plays Magic: The Gathering, Warhammer, The Old World, and all kinds of tabletop games. He is also a big video gamer. Legend of Zelda for the win! You’ll also hear him say things like, “Fly, Eagles, Fly” and “Hook Em, Horns!”

“Oh yea, uh-huh! It’s okay for macho men to show every emotion available out there, ya know? Because I’ve cried a thousand times and I’m gonna cry a thousand more. Buuuttt, I’ve soared with the eagles and slithered with the snakes, and I’ve been everywhere in between. And I’m gonna tell you something right now: One guarantee in life is that there are no guarantees, Yea! Aaaaannnddd…. Understand this: Nobody likes a quitter. Nobody said life was easy so if you get knocked down, take the standing eight count, get back up and fight again! And you’re a Macho Maniac! Dig it!!”
