Zoo Pals!

In second grade, our community service project benefits the Sedgwick County Zoo to support their work of conservation and preservation of endangered species.  We conduct Friendship Sucker Sales in February to raise funds to adopt animals through the Zoo's Zoo Pal program.  Our goal is to adopt at least 3 animals - one for each class!  The Zoo uses these funds directly for the care of the animals.  As a part of this service learning, we complete a research project on animals and then take a trip to the zoo to see our adopted animals and explore their habitats and needs!
