Using shared vocabulary to communicate about Wichita Public Schools, and the Every Student Future Ready plan, in written and verbal communication will increase the rate at which we as a district weave the new plan into everyday life.
This communication guide will include ideas for how to connect the things you are already doing and talking about to the specific long-term goals, strategic themes and shared beliefs that are part of this plan. Our students, staff, parents and community members interact with many district employees. Having a shared vocabulary to talk about important school priorities will ensure they hear and understand our goals no matter who they talk to.
Together, the WPS Communication Guide and Visual Identity Guide are the district’s Style Guide and should be referred to when creating materials to communicate about the district to internal and external audiences.
This guide will be posted here in August 2018.
