  • Today is Friday, December 6th!

    Your choices for lunch are Fish Melt Sandwich or BBQ Rib Sandwich. There will be two additional lunch carts one located by the library and the other by the Tyler street doors serving Spicy Chicken Sandwiches or Rib Sandwiches.  Have your ID & selection ready. Any students without an ID will need to wait until the last 10 minutes.  Tomorrow our 2nd chance breakfast carts will be serving Parfaits, Smoothies and French Toast Sticks from 9:20 to 9:26.  Chips and Cookies will now be served during breakfast.

    Seniors – Seniors please bring your acceptance letters/emails for college, tech school and armed forces to 9th hour on Monday.  If you do, you will be excused to the Commons to pick up your ACCEPTED shirt and your picture will be place on our ACCEPTED wall.

    Attention juniors and seniors. The Wichita Bar Association’s Grow Your Own Lawyer Program is open to juniors and seniors who are interested in exploring a possible career in the legal profession. Each participating student is matched with a lawyer mentor with whom the student meets several times. Monthly programs are held including tours of the Sedgwick County judicial system and a field trip to either KU or Washburn law schools. If you have an interest in the legal profession and would like to participate in this program, see Mr. Cathey in the counseling office for an application.

    Northwest students today is the deadline to sign up to see your counselor regarding a schedule change for 2nd semester. You can sign up using the QR code located on the first page of your student agenda using your phone.  If you don’t have a phone then stop by the counseling office today.  The schedule change policy is in the Northwest agenda on page 25-26 please refer to this policy to make sure that a schedule change is possible before signing up.

    Do you need help studying for math finals or doing last minute homework? Are you in Algebra 1, Geometry, Algebra 2, Fst, or precalc? If so you can sign up at Mr. Kitchen’s room C8, to get free peer tutoring from students who have already passed those classes. It will be in the library on Monday, December 9th during advocacy.

    Northwest’s Tri-M chapter will be hosting a canned goods drive at each of the three winter concerts. There will be a collection table set up before the concerts begin, so start cleaning out your cabinets now and donate!

    Yearbook photos for clubs and organizations will be taken in the small gym on Monday. Please see your teacher or club sponsor for information on the time of your photo.
