INFORMATION FOR PARENTS & STAFF
-
An Emergency Safety Intervention (ESI) is the use of seclusion or physical restraint of any student only when the student presents a reasonable and immediate danger of physical harm to self or others with the present ability to effect such physical harm or engages in violent action that is destructive of property.
- Parent Preferred Method of Contact Form
Parents will receive notification on the same day an ESI is used with their child. Parents may designate a preferred method of contact for same-day notification. Parents may agree, in writing, to receive only one same-day notification from the school for multiple ESI incidents occurring on the same day. Parents will also receive written documentation of the use of an ESI and may agree, in writing, to receive written documentation by email. Please provide any such preferences to your child's school.
