Director: Melanie Hansel

Melanie Hansel has taught students from ages 3 to 93. She has been dancing for over 43 years and has been a choreographer for over 15 years. Her studies from age 2 include: ballet, tap, jazz, clog, drill, hip hop. break dance, crump, modern dance, muscial theater, ballroom, hula, belly dancing, stomp, folk dancing, line dances, country dances, latin dances, polka, square dancing, Irish Jig, and anything new that comes out.  She has worked with many props: flags, poms, batons, streamers, rifles, air blades, swings, wheels, hoops, ladders, canes, umbrellas, and foam teeth to name a few. She has worked with individuals, couples, small groups, and large groups.  Some of her works are: school talent shows, high school plays and musicals, pageants, art shows and openings, WSU, YMCA, and Wichita City Recenter Recitals, wedding first dances, and special requested events; birthdays, going away parties, luncheons, and conferences.  She has volunteered her time for an after school elementary dance program for boys and girls where they ended the year with a school wide performance. In 2008 she obtained the title of Mrs. Kansas International which opened the doors to other performances and choreographing opportunites.
