Besides being a math teacher, I am a former collegiate soccer player, an avid Star Wars fan, I have three adorable little dogs, an engineer husband, and a teenage son. I love coffee, cookies, and tacos. I live to travel! My favorite place I have visited so far is France!
I like to think that I show students how math can be enjoyable and applicable. My greatest compliment was when a parent told me that math was her child's least favorite subject but her favorite class to come to was mine! Math can be fun!
I love gluten-free cookies, Reese's anything, Sour Patch Kids, popcorn, Mike & Ike candy, apples, oranges, bananas, coffee, and pink pens!

Bridget Newman
Hello, Allison community! I'm Mrs. Newman and I've taught for... well, let's just say a long, long, long time! Teaching is still my "jam" and I absolutely LOVE all things language arts... especially grammar! I enjoy sharing helpful tricks and tips to make ELA content easier to understand while also coming up with interesting ways to make lessons more engaging for my students! I have an open-door policy and am always willing and ready to help my students have a successful 6th grade ELA experience!

I started teaching in 2004 (but I took a small break from the classroom from 2013-2020). Returning to the classroom in 2020 brought me to Allison as an ELA teacher and Yearbook Advisor. In 2022, I was honored to become a Distinguished Modern Classroom Educator. This means not only do I teach students, but also work with teachers around the world as a Modern Classroom Mentor. I help these educators learn the model, problem solve, and implement these teaching strategies in their own classrooms. However, my favorite side-gig deals with cheerleading - I’m the National Cheer Resource Advisor for the NAIA. This allows me to help cheerleading coaches and officials further the sport of cheerleading.

Hi! I'm Mrs. Trivisonno! I love reading and spending time with my husband and cats. I'm passionate about literacy and helping students to grow and find success! This school year is going to be AWESOME!
One time I made it through an entire day without coffee. 10 out of 10 do not recommend. It was terrible. A caffeinated Mrs. Trivisonno is a happy Mrs. Trivisonno.
Some of my favorite things are: coffee, Diet Coke, BBQ Chips and Paper Mate Flair pens.

Hello folks, I am Mr. Mauk. I believe in UFOs and other silly conspiracy theories. I love to surf, read, and hit the gym. I enjoy a great freshly brewed coffee every morning. I have backpacked across Peru by myself for a month and got to see awesome sights like Machu Picchu and the Nazca Lines.
I bid you all to "Keep Looking Up."

New to Allison? Not me! I have been teaching at Allison for going on my 21st year. I will be teaching 6th, 7th, and 8th grade science this year. I have always tried to be at the forefront of technology -- in fact, I started my pre-teaching career by manually networking a lab of Apple II Cs and Apple II Es! Remember "Oregon Trail?" Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband, my son (who loves to play chess, build ANYTHING, and read), and our very chatty cockatiel named Bentley. He can sing the "Andy Griffith" song!
When I am not lesson planning, I enjoy watching UFC and Bellator, AGT, NOS4A2, and Ellen's Game of Games. My favorite artists are Sarah MacLachlan and P!NK. My favorite color is pink. I am a middle child. I have seven grandchildren with one more on the way! I've hiked in England, Ireland, and Wales, and even got to meet Prince Philip!
I love anything with chocolate, pretzels, or nutsFresh fruit, crunchy granola bars, Funyuns, Doritos, veggie straws, sweet potato chips, decaf coffee with flavored creamers and Splenda, flavored water, and fruit juice/fruit juice blends.

Lisa Boor
Hello!! I'm Lisa Boor and I teach 6th-8th grade Social Studies. I have taught at Allison Traditional Magnet Middle School for 31 years. (Yes, I said 31 years - LOL!) I teach children of my former students, so I never really go away 😜. I grew up in Oklahoma City, and that's where the majority of my family lives. I moved to Wichita after I graduated from Oklahoma State University, and I've been at Allison every since. I have three children: two girls and a boy. I became a Nana for the first time this past summer and my grandson is so adorable!
When I was visiting New York City to attend a workshop at the Bronx Zoo, I walked by Christie's Auction House, and out of a car steps Princess Diana from her car! I was so surprised I forgot to take a picture 🤦♀️. I did buy the People Magazine with all the pictures, though!
I love college football and basketball; they are the bee's knees to me. My favorite team is the Oklahoma State Cowboys! I enjoy spending time with my family and friends. Traveling is my favorite thing to do seeing new sites and places is awesome. I take a group from Allison to Washington DC over spring break every 3 years. We will be going again in March 2022. It is so much fun, but beware - I like playing practical jokes 🤩. I Love my students and I can't wait to meet them. We are going to have a great year, even in all the chaos. Let's go!
I'm also a fan of Snickers, Heath bars, Butterfinger, Hot Tamales, Dove Milk Chocolate, Doritos, watermelon, pretzels, Ruffles potato chips, Duncan Donuts coffee pods, real Coke (with all the sugar-lol!), and colored pencils.
