• Second closure scare

In 2010-11, another plan to close Woodland quickly developed and the school was put onto a closure list.  Our P.T.A. and other community partners stepped up with petitions, protests, and board meetings along with media coverage to fight the closure.  After all was said and done, the B.O.E. chose to keep Woodland open.  After that, some steps were taken to help ensure our future: a Pre-k program and an ESOL program, for second language learners, were both added.
