Mrs. Jennifer Stebral

Mrs. Stebral started teaching in Wichita Public Schools in 1992. She began her career teaching 2nd grade at Earhart Environmental Magnet Elementary. In 1999 she accepted a part time position as a science teaching specialist with WPS based at Great Plains Nature Center. Then in 2002 she headed back to the classroom to teach Kindergarten at Black Traditional Magnet Elementary. In 2018 she found her way to Jackson accepting the position of librarian. As you can see she has a varied background with several exciting experiences throughout her career. She is happy to have landed at Jackson in the library which is a wonderful fit for her LOVE of words and reading. She hopes to inspire avid, lifelong readers through her work in the Jackson library.

Outside of school Mrs. Stebral has a few other passions. She has been married to Mr. Stebral since 1991. They have an adult son who is a mechanical engineer and lives in Colorado, as well as an adult daughter who is a bakery scientist living and working in Twin Falls, ID. Mrs. Stebral LOVES to work in her garden during the summer and tend various types of vegetables, fruits, and flowers. That passion is a bit at odds with her other favorite activity which is traveling. She is nearly always ready to jump in the car and roadtrip just about anywhere anytime! So she has to plan for someone to help tend her garden when she skips town in the summer!!

And finally. . . Mrs. Stebral published her first picture book in the summer of 2023. She and her sister wrote Bert Blurts! together. She has learned a LOT during the publishing process! She looks forward to more writing and publishing in the future!
