  • Welcome to Kindergarten!

Kindergarten is an exciting time for your child. In order for your child to be enrolled in Kindergarten in the Wichita Public Schools, they will need to be 5 years old by August 31 each year. We offer a free, full-day program at all of our elementary schools.

To find your neighborhood elementary school, use our SchoolFinder page or contact Student Records and Enrollment Services at 316-973-4498.

To learn more about magnet school options for your student, visit our Magnet Department page. Applications were due February 19 for the 2021-22 school year; however, some spots are still available at select magnet schools. Contact the Magnet office for more information.

Go to our Enrollment page for more information about the enrollment process.
