Thad Henderson joined Wichita Public Schools in 2022 as an administrative assistant on the talent acquisition/recruitment team.  He completed his Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and Leadership in 2015 from Friends University.  Before his position with Wichita Public schools, he gained seven years of administrative assistant and customer service experience in various companies throughout Wichita.

Sarah Castleman started her career with Wichita Public Schools as a Human Resources co-op intern in 2017. In May of 2018 she completed a Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management from Wichita State University.  After being hired as a co-op, she quickly moved into full-time positions within the Human Resources Department. She has served in several positions within the Staffing and Recruitment team, eventually moving into her current role as a Talent Acquisition Specialist for Elementary Schools. She has a passion for Human Resources and recruiting the best qualified staff for the students at Wichita Public Schools!

Allie Scalise started her career with Wichita Public Schools in 2018 as a Human Resources co-op intern. Since then, she has moved into the Employee Relations Assistant role, then her current role as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Julisa Khan joined Wichita Public Schools in 2019 as a Human Resources co-op after completing her bachelor's degree at Wichita State University in Business Management and Human Resource Management. Since then, she has served in several positions within the Human Resources Department, including HR/EBIM Administrative Assistant and Employee Relations Assistant. At the start of 2021, she joined the Talent Acquisition Team as a Talent Acquisition Specialist. Prior to joining the district, she spent 11 years working in Human Resources for a Limited Liability Company.

Abby McFadden graduated from Friends University with a bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management in 2017. She went on to graduate from Wichita State University with her Masters in Human Resources Management in 2021. She joined Wichita Public Schools in 2018 as an administrative assistant in Employee Relations serving the district’s Employee Relations/Title IX office. Penny McNeill began working for Wichita Public Schools in Design & Construction (under Facilities) as an administrative assistant in 2005.  In 2013, Penny became a Confidential Administrative Assistant to the Director of Facilities, where she stayed for 9 years.  Before working for Wichita Public Schools, she worked at Coleman Company, Inc. as a Collection Coordinator for 8 years, Stay-At-Home Mom for 5 years, and P & B Trucking as Assistant Office Manager for 4 years.  Penny says, "I love working for this district – we have such wonderful people!"

Jenna (Ginest) Shaban graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Wichita State University. She began with the district in 2015 as the Assistant to the Chief Human Resources Officer. Upon earning her Master’s Certificate in Project Management from Wichita State University, she was promoted into a Project Management role within the Human Resources Department. Sean Hudspeth, MBA, SHRM-CP, SPFS

Chief Human Resource Officer

 

Sean is a Human Resource professional with more than 25 years of Human Resources/Risk Management experience developing strategies that align and support the strategic plan. Sean began working with Wichita Public School in 2020. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing with a minor in Economics from Wichita State University and has an MBA from Baker University with a concentration in Human Resource Management. Sean has taught HR, Business Management, and Leadership courses at the post-secondary level in graduate and undergraduate programs with several local universities.
