In 2003, the Board of Education created Wichita Public Schools Gift Funds to provide support for classroom mini-grants, athletics, and fine arts activities. This unique partnership with the Wichita Community Foundation allows all gifts received by the Education EDGE to be devoted to these three funded areas. As a 501(c)(3) organization, the Wichita Community Foundation is an independent public charity and all donations qualify for charitable contributions under IRS regulations.
