    Would You like to Earn College Credits While in High School? North Has Several Ways for You to Get a Jump Start on General Education Requirements As Well As Certifications Through Wsu Tech. 


    Concurrent Credit Classes Offered at North:

    Concurrent Credit refers to classes offered in high school where you can also earn college credit. Examples include AP Spanish, Speech and General Service 1 and 2. North offers the most concurrent classes in the district! To receive concurrent credit, students are typically required to have a 3.0 or higher cumulative GPA. Teachers will explain the requirements and procedures for concurrent credit enrollment during class.     Future Ready Center at North:

    The Future Ready Center is a new, state of the art center for students to receive hands-on training, learning opportunities and mentoring from industry experts. Courses in sheet metal, manufacturing production, assembly, maintenance and automation are available.     WSU Tech Jumpstart Block Programs:

    Through the WSU Tech Jumpstart Block program, students can get a jumpstart on a college degree, program or certification. The block program is open to motivated juniors and seniors who are on track to graduate, have a 2.0 or higher cumulative GPA, have strong attendance. The deadline to register for the block programs is approaching. Programs available for the 2023-2024 year include Alternative Fuel Maintenance & Advanced Electronics, Auto Service, Aviation Maintenance, Architectural Design, Business, Climate & Energy Control Technology (HVAC), Cloud Computing/Coding, Construction Science, Criminal Justice, Drones, Emergency Medical Technician (EMT), Engineering Design, healthcare, INformatiion Technology, Interior Design, Machining, and Welding.
