• An apprenticeship program combines on-the-job training and classroom instruction under the supervision of a journey-level craft person or trade professional. After completing an apprenticeship program, the worker's journey-level status provides an additional benefit of nationwide mobility at journey-level scale." In sum, an apprenticeship allows you to get paid while learning on the job. The longer you work on the job, the more money you will make and education you will receive!

The education you receive may be provided by community colleges, technical/career schools, apprenticeship training schools, or by the business itself. Instruction is delivered at a school, online, or at the job site. You will receive on the job training by an experienced mentor at your job site, all while making connections with Wichita employer associations.

After you finish your apprenticeship, you will receive a nationally recognized credential as a journeyman, allowing you to be qualified for the career you wish to pursue!
