Senior Spotlight - Juliene Prospa, South High School

Juliene was born in Tanzania and came to the U.S. from the Republic of Congo when she was in fourth grade. After graduation, she plans to join the Army and go into the medical field.

Thirty-four graduating seniors from the Wichita Public Schools have been offered scholarships from the Kansas Hispanic Education & Development Foundation.

Tim Elsen, a science teacher at Wilbur Middle School, received the 2023 Excellence in Public Service Award from the Wichita Public Schools.

The Wichita Public Schools has been named one of the 2023 Best Communities for Music Education by the National Association of Music Merchants. This is the seventh time the district has received this recognition.
