Find summer site information on the right under "resources". Find more detailed informaton below under "announcements".
What is a School-Age Program (SAP)? It is a before and after school program for school age children. It is often referred to as Latchkey. Students have fun and enjoy friends while under the supervision of caring adults. The program is tailored to meet the developmental characteristics and needs of each individual child. Certified teachers direct the USD 259 district programs. Our district programs along with the Park Board and YMCA programs follow the Kansas Department of Health and Environment guidelines and are Licensed Child Care facilities. District sites are 100% self-funded.
Frequent Questions and Answers.
Q. How can I enroll my child?
A. Contact the site directly. The director will have enrollment forms for you. You will not be able to start until you hear back from the director that all paperwork is complete and your child has been set up in the computer system. This can take a few days. Plan ahead.
Q. How much does it cost?
A. We charge a daily rate. You are billed each week according to your contracted days. You are responsible for the contracted days regardless of actual attendance. Days of the week cannot be traded.
Summer latchkey enrollment starts March 18th. Contact the school of your choice. Summer sites are listed on the flyer.
