Welcome

We will begin accepting applications for summer latchkey enrollment on Monday, March 27. Space is limited and applications must be submitted in person to the latchkey director of the site you wish to apply for.
If you are enrolling a student who attends school in another district, you must fill out the health form found in the "Resources" section of this page.
We will have 17 sites open this summer. You can find a list of sites under resources on this page.
Fall enrollment packets will be available in July.
Wichita Public Schools Latchkey Program
-
What is the Latchkey program? It's a program for children in kindergarten through fifth grade that is offered before and after school through the school year. Students have fun and enjoy friends while under the supervision of caring adults. The program is tailored to meet the developmental characteristics and needs of each individual child. Certified teachers direct the USD 259 district programs and follow the Kansas Department of Health and Environment guidelines. District sites are licensed child care facilities and 100 percent self-funded.
Enrollment: Parents can pick up enrollment paperwork from any latchkey site but paperwork must be turned in at the site you're registering for.
