Earhart teacher and Hyde principal receive national recognition
Andi Barry, a fourth- and fifth-grade teacher at Earhart Magnet Elementary, has been named the Region IV Magnet Teacher of the Year and Jamie Cole, principal of Hyde Magnet Elementary, has been named Region IV Magnet Principal of the Year by Magnet Schools of America.

Six WPS schools recommended for closure to help close budget gap
The Wichita Board of Education heard a recommendation to close six schools at the end of the school year in Phase 2 budget reductions during its February 12, 2024 meeting. The recommendation is pending final BOE approval on March 4.
