Mrs. Appelhans has been teaching for 20 years. She is a 7th grade math teacher. She believes that, "after 20 years, I still learn something new every year. Learning is a lifelong adventure. Everyone can learn, it just takes some a little longer than others, and that is okay. My youthful appearance is a direct result of my interaction with the wonderful students that I teach and interact with every year."

Mrs. Barron is a 7th grade Adaptive Math and Math Intervention teacher. She has been teaching for five years. She believes it is her goal "to help students learn to at least like math a little and understand the importance that it holds in our everyday lives. Math can be fun. Improving every year is also a goal of my classes. Classes are meant for doing work, and that is where the main portion of ours will take place. Great behavior in class limits the amount of homework that a student will take home. Because of this I expect complete respect and following of rules while in my class. I am here if you have any kind of question about your student. Thank you for letting spend time with your student. Let's have a great year"!

Mrs. Greenway teaches 7th grade Language Arts. She has been teaching for 14 years. She says, "before I became a teacher, I saw a (now popular) poster that stated, "Students don't care how much you know, until they know how much you care." This statement resonated with me. The teachers that I remember most are the ones who took the time to get to know me, who encouraged me when I didn't have any self-encouragement left, who held me accountable for my actions without making me feel inferior, who saw me as a whole person - not just the shy, stuttering, awkwardly-tall kid who sometimes had the attention span of a mayfly. The teachers who set an example, and gave me a voice. The ones who reminded me that every day was a chance to be a better person than I was the day before. So, here's a shout-out to Mrs. Wolfe, Mrs. Gregory, Mrs. Ochs and the dozens of other teachers who gave me knowledge - and life skills - and love. It's my hope as a teacher that my students will one day feel about me, the way I feel about my best teachers." - Gina Greenway
