Mrs. Brown has been teaching for 16 years. She teaches 6th, 7th, & 8th grade Language Arts. It is her belief that, "all students can learn if they are willing; in order to get a willing student you must build trust. I love the fresh ideas I can bring to students and what they bring to the classroom; I am a lifelong learner and I think everyone should be. English can be boring, but it is my job to make it fun and to make sure all students receive the tools they need to survive at the next level. My classes function as a family because family is everything; my students are my family at work. My favorite motto is "you can do anything you set your mind to." Children are our future and I am glad to be apart of making the future better."

Ms. Jane Vachal

Ms.Vachal has been teaching for seven years. She teaches 8th grade Science and Honors Science. She also teaches 8th-grade AVID Excel. Ms. Vachal believes, "when it comes to teaching science, I see myself as an individual who teaches but is still learning. My role in the classroom is the expert learner, where I am a model for my students to follow but also with the understanding that I am a co-learner. I allow my students to wrestle with problems together which develops into discussions about real world problems and provides an environment where peer-teaching can take place. I believe that learning occurs when students are actively engaged in hands on science and inquiry based projects."
