  • AVID District Director: Michelle Drumright

    Michelle has spent the last four years serving as the AVID Elementary District Director for USD 259. Michelle is absolutely ecstatic to serve in her new role as AVID District Director, K-12. In this role, she will oversee, monitor, and support all aspects of our District-wide AVID System to ensure fidelity, continued growth development and success of our system. Michelle has worked as a Lead Writer and National Staff Developer, AVID Curriculum Writer, and as a Consultant for the AVID Central Division.


    AVID Instructional Coach: Raegan McGinnis
    Raegan McGinnis was an English Language Arts teacher, AVID Elective teacher, Department Chair and co-AVID Site Coordinator at Wichita North High School, an AVID National Demonstration School. Raegan’s dedication, commitment, and passion to the AVID system is showcased through her work as a National Staff Developer, AVID Curriculum Writer, and AVID Path Trainer for AVID Center as well as her work as an AVID Consultant for the AVID Central Division.


    AVID Instructional Coach: Rob Compton
    Rob Compton spent 11 years at Wichita High School North, where he taught Language Arts and AP art history. In his time there, he taught 9th-12th grade English, ranging from reading intervention to AP Literature, and achieved National Board Certification in 2006. While at North High he served as Department Chair, AP Vertical Alignment Leader, and AVID Site Team member. For the past 4 years Rob served as the AVID District Director and AP Vertical Alignment Coordinator for Wichita Public Schools. He is a regular Staff Developer for AVID Center, and helped write the ELA Path book: Exploring Texts with Strategic Reading.
