Today’s Terrific Titan is Mrs. Primm.  Mrs. Primm was nominated by Josh Pena.  Josh nominated Mrs. Primm because she always helps me with my grades and my homework. She helps me with whatever I need and is a great teacher.  Great job, Mrs. Primm! If you would like to make a nomination for Today’s Terrific Titan, please use the link Mrs. Nance sent out or come by the B2 office for a form.

Today, for Mental Health Awareness Week, we are recognizing depression.  Depression is a mental illness which affects nearly 2.8 million teens in the United States and is one of the leading causes of disability worldwide.  Many people say depression is nothing more than “feeling sad”, but in truth it negatively affects how you think and feel for a long period of time.  By wearing green, you are letting those with depression know they’re not alone.  Throughout the week, we will be hosting guest speakers in the auditorium during Titan Time.  We have a presentation tomorrow from the Sherriff’s Office, a presentation on Wednesday form the National Alliance on Mental Illness, and on Thursday we have the Hope Show.  All events are held in the auditorium during Titan Time so make sure to get your agenda signed by any the counselor, administrator, or Ms. Bell in the CCC.  Make sure to wear purple tomorrow for awareness on eating disorders!
