P4029 Temporary Leave and Leaves of Absence

Temporary leave and/or leaves of absence may be granted to any eligible employee pursuant to BOE policies and/ or negotiated agreements when available and requested, as determined by the Superintendent or designee. The Superintendent or designee shall reserve the right to grant or deny any request. Leaves of absence or temporary leave may be granted in the following circumstances: job-relevant employee organization activities; jury duty; military leave, in accordance with the Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act; victims of domestic violence or sexual assault; relevant professional leave; or temporary leave requested in accordance with the negotiated agreements.
