P6040 Select of Instructional Materials and Development of Instructional Materials Catalogs

Learning Services is responsible for the development of process through which to construct, revise, and update the instructional materials stock catalogs.

Administrative Implemental Procedures: 

1. Learning Services is responsible for establishing and periodically updating general and subject-specific criteria by which materials will be selected for the instructional materials stock catalogs.  Criteria will be developed for each subject related to the educational program of Wichita Public Schools, with general criteria developed in collaboration with the input of and feedback from District teachers.  

2. Learning Services is responsible for gathering input from stakeholders (which may include teachers, librarians, and members of the Learning Services department) in order to recommend materials to be included in the instructional materials catalog.
