P6325 Program of Studies for Secondary Schools

The Program of Studies for the Middle Schools and Program of Studies for the High Schools is the approved course listing for secondary curriculum offerings in the school district. It is the responsibility of Learning Services to approve and publish all offerings in the Program of Studies for the Middle Schools and Program of Studies for the High Schools. 

Administrative Implemental Procedures: 

  1. Only approved courses as described in the Program of Studies for the Middle Schools, Program of Studies for the High Schools, and experimental courses which have defined, standards and indicators and which have been approved following Curriculum Development – Course Request Form guidelines are to be taught within the secondary schools. 

  1. Course concepts may originate from any area of the school district; however, courses are to be designed, developed, revised or deleted with the involvement of the curriculum specialist assigned to that particular subject area and must follow Curriculum Development – Course Request Form guidelines. 

  2. All course numbers will be assigned by Learning Services upon recommendation of Information Services and Technology. 

  3. The Program of Studies for the Middle Schools and Program of Studies for the High Schools will be reviewed and published online annually by Learning Services.
