You’re invited to apply to Wichita Public Schools for the 2025-26 school year! With 50 neighborhood schools, 23 magnet schools, a Microsoft Showcase-certified virtual school and more, WPS offers choices and opportunities to all area learners. Students who live outside our WPS geographic boundary can apply now for any school that has open seats. Visit usd259.org/apply to start the process. 

Our magnet schools accept applications through a separate process with an earlier deadline, so be sure to also complete that application on time if you’re interested in one of those programs! (Students already attending any USD 259 school should check out our In-District Opportunities.)

Important Dates to Know

• January 1-June 15, 2025: Out-of-District Open Enrollment applications accepted.
• Through January 31: Middle and high school magnet and choice program applications accepted.
• Through March 7: Elementary magnet school applications accepted.
