BOE approves the 24-25 budget lowest mill rate in 14 years

The Wichita Board of Education approved the proposed 24-25 budget during its September 9 meeting with the lowest mill rate for WPS in 14 years and reflects $27.8 million in expenditure reductions. The $970.6 million budget is built with 87% of the budget directly supports the classroom.

“The budget was created by aligning our resources with our needs with the feedback of stakeholders,” said Superintendent Kelly Bielefeld.
