McLean Magnet Elementary named National Blue Ribbon School

McLean Science and Technology Magnet Elementary has been honored as a 2025 National Blue Ribbon School, one of just three elementary schools in Kansas to receive this prestigious distinction. This recognition reflects extraordinary achievement on state assessments and affirms McLean’s role as a transformative force in elementary education.

“Being named a National Blue Ribbon School is a testament to the relentless dedication of our educators, the brilliance of our students, and the support of our families,” said Principal Tina Young. “Our magnet model is designed to ignite curiosity. Science and technology are pathways to discovery in every classroom. We are shaping innovators, problem solvers, and future leaders through hands-on, immersive learning that begins in the earliest grades."

This is the first time McLean Science Technology Magnet has received the Blue Ribbon distinction and they are the sixth school in the district to receive the award.
