• Transforming Our Community Through Bond Issue Construction

Bond Issue Kids One of the major highlights of the $370 million bond issue passed in 2008 is the promise that when completed, every attendance center will have a FEMA/safe room storm shelter to protect students and staff in the event of severe weather.

As of the start of school on August 24, 2016, all but one (Robinson Middle) Wichita school will have a completed storm shelter, and the final space will be completed in March 2017.

FEMA/safe room construction caps a major milestone for families in Wichita, and gives Wichita students and staff protection that no other large school district in the country can offer!
