Library Media & Textbook Services, along with WPS-TV and Media Production Services, host the annual Battle of the Books competition for elementary schools.

The 2024 Battle of the Books took place January 17-25, 2024 with 49 schools competing. The competitions were broadcast live on WPS-TV at www.usd259.org/wpstvonline and on Cox Cable Channel 20. Replays of each episode can be found on the right and on the WPS-TV YouTube page.
