Intro to Kindergarten
Welcome to Wichita Public Schools!
Intro to Kindergarten for 2026-27 will feature in-person events at elementary schools on Tuesday, May 5, 2026.
At these events, parents and caregivers will learn about the information needed to start preparing your student for Kindergarten during the 2026-27 school year. This includes a presentation that provides basic information about what to expect in Kindergarten classes across our district; explanations about the screening assessments - Ages & Stages Questionnaires (ASQ) - you will complete for your student; and an important introduction to attendance expectations.
