Band is one of the elective classes taught by Mrs. Koonce.  In band, instruments are divided into different sections and everyone is expected to play songs to practice for the concerts.  The sections in band are the woodwind, brass and percussion.  Mrs. Koonce is helpful. When someone doesn't know a part of the song, she teaches them how to play it right.  Band is a fun elective class. You learn to play an instrument and perform a concert for your friends and family. 

“I enjoy band because it makes you feel like you’re a part of something, and you get to learn new ways to make beautiful music every day.” explained Victoria. Thursday, December 1 was the Marshall band concert. Students were performing many different songs that they learned this year. Olivia said I liked the concert because i like to show my skills. The beginning band performed how they learned to play their instruments. The intermediate band performed two good songs for us. At the end of the night, the advanced band played a holiday song, Furioso.
