AVID Elementary is a component of the AVID College Readiness System. The AVID program strives to close the achievement gap preparing all students for college readiness in a global society.  

Currently Hyde's third, fourth and fifth grades participate in the program. AVID is embedded into daily core instruction. AVID believes that the growth mindset can be taught and through that mindset AVID students will be successful in the following their dreams and fulfilling their aspirations.
