Mrs. Rogers - My Story...

  •      Once upon a time... there was a little girl who had a momma who read to her for hours and introduced her to the magic of our little town library. It was a beautiful old limestone church with stained glass windows and dark woodwork that made it seem like a library castle, converted to be a place where books came alive and imaginations danced. It was there that the little girl began her love of the written language and the adventures that opened on the pages at her fingertips.

Now that that little girl is all grown up, she is excited to be the one to pass the torch of knowledge and adventure to the next generation at Franklin Elementary!

Let me introduce myself. My name is Cindy Rogers. My husband Randall and I have two nearly grown sons. We have two cats, Lucy and Suzy, named after characters in The Chronicles of Narnia. Over the last 25 years, I have had the opportunity to work with students in both social sciences and language arts, theater and other educational support areas. It is my hope that our students engage in and experience the world of books - each one opening a window to new knowledge and discovery.
