What IS Battle of the Books?
Battle of the Books is a fun competition for any student in 4th - 5th grades. These students read books from a set book list and compete in a schoolwide battle to determine which four students will represent Adams Elementary.
These four students will compete against other students from participating schools to answer questions about the books. In order to be successful, students must know the book title, details about the story, the characters, and the author.
How do I get on the team?First, you have to read the books on the list. The list will be available from your library, so be sure to get a copy.
Next, read those books and turn in your book slips!
Last, participate in the school battle in December.
If you win a spot on the Adams Battle of the Books team, you will go the official Battle of the Books competition in January.
