• How long have you been in education/what positions have you held? This is my 20^th year in education. I started in 3^rd grade, taught 1^st for 9 years, reading intervention-3 years, instructional coach -4 years, and worked as an assistant principal at Spaght, and now serve as the principal.
• What is your favorite thing about working with kids? My favorite thing about working with kids is being able to see them grow academically and in the area of social emotional.
• What is your favorite part of the school day? The beginning of the day is probably my favorite part of the day! I love being able to say “good morning” and seeing all of the students faces ready to start a new day on positive note.
• What is your favorite Spaght event and why? My favorite Spaght event is the “Chill and Grill.” I love this event because it is great to see families after a long summer.
• What is a little known fact about you? A little known fact about me is that I love the Kansas City Chiefs!

• How long have you been in education/what positions have you held? I am entering my 18^th year in education. I have taught first, second and third grades. I have also held the position of “behavior interventionist/specialist” for three years.
• What is your favorite thing about working with kids? My favorite thing about working with kids is their sweet innocence. The innocence of children can be a refreshing experience! By nature, children are active, imaginative, and creative.  Every child is different, and part of what I love about my job is that I get to help each one discovers his/her own strengths and talents and nurture those traits through my educational approach.
• What is your favorite part of the school day? My favorite part of the school day is first thing in the morning. I get the satisfying opportunity to stand and greet students as they enter the building each morning. I am met with so many big hugs, “Good Morning’s”, and smiles. It gives me the positive jump start I need each morning.
• What is your favorite Spaght event and why? My favorite Spaght event is Trunk or Treat! I love seeing the students and their siblings and/or other family members dressed up in their costumes. I adore being able to interact with students and families as I hand out candy from my trunk. I enjoy this event, because it’s not just for our students only, but it also brings out the community. Not only to trick-or-treat, but to also volunteer.  It is an awesome event.
• What is a little known fact about you? A little-known fact about me is that I used to ride horses when I was growing up. My grandfather had a ranch, eand we would go out often to ride and tend to the horses. I absolutely LOVE horses.
