Mr. Randy McVay
Welcome to the Earhart physical education webpage. My name is Randy McVay and I am starting my 26th year of teaching elementary physical education in USD 259. Previous to teaching at Earhart, I was the physical education teacher at Dodge for seven years and Park for seven years. I am married and have four children. Three of them graduated from Earhart and are now in middle school, and one is just now starting Kindergarten.
I enjoy teaching children the importance of daily physical activity and healthy lifestyles. Earhart's PE classes are movement centered. Mrs. Westfahl and I build weekly lessons that strive to keep kids moving 80 percent plus during their 45 minute PE time. At the same time, our lessons and classroom objectives emphasize appropriate social interactions with both peers as well as instructors.
Please feel free to drop by the gym at any time! We would love to have you visit and your kids will flip their lids if you come to join us! Just make sure to wear your tennis shoes!!

Mrs. Megan Westfahl
Hello! My name is Megan Westfahl and I am excited to be returning as the part-time PE teacher at Earhart Environmental Magnet. In addition to teaching at Earhart I also teach PE at nearby Chisholm Trail Elementary.
I graduated from Wichita State University in 2010 with an Elementary Education Degree and began my teaching career as a 5th grade teacher the following school year. After four years of teaching in the classroom and coaching Middle School track for Christa McAuliffe Academy, I decided to make the switch from classroom teacher to physical education teacher in order to be able to serve my passion for health and fitness instruction daily!
I’ve been teaching for ten years now and can say enthusiastically that “I love my job”! I will soon have my master’s degree in physical education through Emporia State and plan to continue teaching PE for many more years!
My family is an athletic and sports minded family as my husband is a high-school PE teacher and coach in Goddard and my kids are involved in sports year round!
